Surfer Against Sewage

Continuing on our theme of people doing something to curb the Plastic pollution epidemic. We stumbled upon the Surfers against sewage  short documentary of their undercover expose on the small pellets of plastic found on UK Beaches and their origination from plastic injection molding factories' and the absolute disregard for the safe manufacturing practices. These pellets  are leading to a pollution epidemic of the united Kingdom's waterways and coastline.

Also If you hadnt heard of their organization Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a not-for profit environmental pressure group focused on the protection of the UK’s oceans, waves and beaches for all to access, use and enjoy safely and sustainably, via campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research. SAS was founded in 1990 by a group of surfers, who were literally ‘sick of getting sick’ through repeated ear, nose, throat and gastric infections after going in the sea. Forming a local group they set about taking grassroots action to stop the sewage pollution at their local surf breaks in Cornwall.

Any organization working toward any little bit of enviroment cleanup we wholeheartedly support and if we lived in the UK would be down on the beach getting dirty picking up plastics off the beach.  GUYS YOU HAVE OUR SUPPORT!
