Hand boarding as a fitness routine
I'm a product designer by trade so I am continuously looking for various ways to use and work with different objects. Also I love to Keep fit. I once saw a poster at a rock-climbing gym that read " Keep Fit to keep on doing the things you love" It's great advice because just after that I went on a Snowboard trip to Steam boat Spring (FYI If you are ever up there make sure to try out the Mountain Brew the coffee is unbelievable and sandwiches to die for after a long day on the slopes.)
It was here that I realized my fitness wasn't quite what I thought. I ate shit a few more time as I started to get tired and the end result is I got injured (or just a bad snow boarder). It was then that I decided to start a new fitness program which I'll be honest only lasted 3 weeks. I didn't quit I just found a more Fun way to keep my physical Fitness up, Handboarding! A fitness workout way more fun than standing in the Gym or swimming laps over and over. I have been working out for some time and anybody who has will know what I mean when I say you get so much more out of your routine is you are having fun
doing it. As any fitness expert will also tell you the best way to do to get an all over workout is to swim. It's an amazing Cardio muscle and fitness workout. Definitely a must to add to any fitness workout and anybody serious about keeping their cardio up. I can tell you even if you do surf a lot hand boarding will knock you on your ass ,well it did for me. It's a complete workout and the difference in the cardio to stand up surfing is you are always treading water. The fun comes in when you don't even realize you are actually working out because you are more interested in the wave coming at you than in doing a work out. and unlike standing in the gym pounding the pavement or swimming laps you aren't thinking about how long or how far you have left. In fact you won't want to get out the water Its really just sick fun. So go give it a try get out there and get pitted in the name of exercise or just for fun
