"With Body Surfing you don't take anything for granted! You ride the wave as far as you can, you don't kick out because the barrel stopped. You realize how much room there is out there, even with all the people." Kelly Slater

"We as a species are connected to the ocean. All living thing come from the ocean. Body Surfing is a chance to get back to your roots, It's the ability to feel the energy." Laird Hamilton

Donald Brink Surfboards. Sick boards for the future

Hailing from Cape Town South Africa, Donald now resides in San Clemente California with his wife and has been shaping boards since 2005 when Revolver was founded, consolidating a namesake and re-branding the water sleds. BRINK is ever growing and developing. Inspired by life's sequence of events. People say its old school or retro stuff Im building. Perhaps, but I like to think of it as just building fun seeking Practical Ocean rides. Donaldbrink.blogspot is a platform on which to share new creations. Boards, paintings, fashion, design, pictures ... we'll see.

I first met Donald at the Sacred Craft Show in San Diego a few months back and I was immediately drawn to his booth's Simplistic and as he puts it rustic style. That, and of course we share the same motherland and a Really cool dude. We Stayed in touch from the Show and I finally ended up making my way down to his San Clemente workshop this past Saturday and apart from being a really cool dude Donald is a super talented designer and shaper. I say designer because he designs and makes furniture on top of shaping boards. He has some amazing forward thinking asymmetrical shapes that we are very interested in working to create a sick shape for a future Handboard. Also Donald has agreed to do a couple prototypes for a little mini full wooden Handplane something we are all very excited to see take shape . We cant wait to get it all going. check out some of these Gnarly shapes Donald has been working on of late. In our humble opinion they are sick
