super-fast surf specific workout.

The trick to doing a fast and effective surf specific workout is to break your workout up into supersets. A superset is where you perform 2, 3 or even 4 exercises in a row with minimal rest between each exercise.
The trick is to choose exercises that focus on different muscle groups, so you can perform the exercises at near maximal strength, without having to rest as much between exercises as you would in a traditional workout.
This allows you to cut down on your workout time, without sacrificing any exercises.
It's how I have been working out for years, and it has cut my workout time down significantly.
For example, you could try this 3 exercise superset in your workout today -
- Perform a leg exercise (such as a Rear-Foot Elevated Split Squat),
- an upper body exercise (such as Renegade Dumbbell Row)
- and a core exercise (such as a Swiss Ball Hip Flip).
Repeat the superset 2-3 times, and see how much faster you get through the exercises.
An excellent workout format (and the format I use for the Total Surfing Fitness workouts) is to pick 9 different functional exercises and then split them into three groups of three based on the movement pattern and muscle groups used.
That means you will have 3 different supersets. You simply complete each superset twice, and that's it...workout done! It's fun, fast, and more importantly will help you surf better.
