"With Body Surfing you don't take anything for granted! You ride the wave as far as you can, you don't kick out because the barrel stopped. You realize how much room there is out there, even with all the people." Kelly Slater

"We as a species are connected to the ocean. All living thing come from the ocean. Body Surfing is a chance to get back to your roots, It's the ability to feel the energy." Laird Hamilton

Local Venice Artists do good!

As usual we love all thing Venice. Venice based Artists Courtney and Lindsay have started a unique art business,Board Well: their model of giving back with each hand-painted surfboard creation has received great feedback, increasing the demand for production.  The plan is to expand their model using new materials and tools.  With the help of permanent screen-printing screens customized with their designs, their artwork can reach its intricacy potential and influence people not only in Southern California, but on a global level.

they need your help to fund the new tools required to produce these designs and others in the future, and in return you will have the opportunity to receive a very special board design and become a part of Board Well history. You can help them  here

Board Well is partnering with several influential non profits to help create sustainable change.  The tools Kickstarter supporters help us purchase will allow Board Well to create more, and allow customers to influence change on the issues they care about the most.  You can read about our current non-profit partner, Wishing Well, by visiting wishforwater.com

Our Boards:Board Well’s model is comprised of series of board designs.  We have a permanent collection of designs paired with each of our non-profit partnerships.  By purchasing one of these designs, you are supporting the nonprofit organization it depicts.

In addition to the permanent series, Board Well creates limited edition series of designs that will only be available for a limited time.  Sales from this series go towards supporting a variety of nonprofits and causes specific to the series created.

We believe the artwork we create should not only be visually enticing, but also serve a greater purpose.  Creating is an outlet for physical and mental release, just as surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding.  We invite you to breathe deeper, see clearer, and release fully, knowing that the board you are riding is helping another receive food, clean water, a job, comfort, care.  LIVE WELL. CARE WELL. BOARD WELL.
