"With Body Surfing you don't take anything for granted! You ride the wave as far as you can, you don't kick out because the barrel stopped. You realize how much room there is out there, even with all the people." Kelly Slater

"We as a species are connected to the ocean. All living thing come from the ocean. Body Surfing is a chance to get back to your roots, It's the ability to feel the energy." Laird Hamilton

Blank Slyde Handboards: NEW canvas for your art!

Untitled-3

We have just introduced our Blank Board project available now on the Slyde Handboards shop check them  out HERE.  As the name suggests the blank is blank. It is a canvas for your art! The Blank board is designed for those of you who want do your own art on the deck. There is not much more to it than that! Or, you can also leave it blank it's up to you. The deck is white and covered with a special primer that is easier to draw on.

We recommend using Paint pens, either Posca or Sharpie brand. We have spoken with the pros like Drew Brophy who make it a living to paint and art up all sorts of boards and surfaces and they swear by Posca. I have personally used both and found the colors in the Posca to be brighter and their range mixes better than the sharpie. They are water based so you will need to use a clear lacquer to coat your design so that it stays on in the water. We are also offering a discount on our pack of 10 medium or small tipped Posca pens when purchased with the Blank board. Below is a video of Drew brophy painting with Posca Pens    a short how to with some great little tips to get you started. FYI this guys is a genius as far as Paint Pen art is concerned
