Beach Cleanup Saturday September 17th

This weekend saw Surfrider  and heal the bay Collaborate to perform the massive beach and inland cleanup that included groups of highschool student from around LA.  We were up at the crack of dawn for the  clean up. Ok so it was 9am but it was saturday and that to me is crack of dawn and should be to everyone else! We started at the Washington pier and walked about 2 miles down collecting trash. There was a massive turn out and the beach was literally covered in people picking up trash for a change instead of being covered in it. Thanks goes out to all those involved in the massive clean up which ended up in collecting way over 100 pounds of trash along a 2 mile stretch of beach. check out the surfrider website for updates. Its a great thing to have picked up that much trash but very sad that it was there in the first place im sure you will agree.
