Waimea Standing wave from beach!

We used to do this when I was a kid, although we could never quiet get it going like probably why they started the wave pool concept. Gotta say though it was alot more fun digging out the sand with a bunch of buddies at some deserted  beach than standing in line at the wave pool with a 100 dudes laughing their ass off at you when you went face first into the cement. dont get me wrong flowrider is fun as hell but there is somthing about creating your own.
