WHAT PLACE WOULD YOU LIKE TO PHOTOGRAPH MOST?:

Hawaii and fiji

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY?

Learning and travel. I am constantly learning new things about photography and new places to see. I made some big investments in equipment in the recent months so i plan to continue learning as much as possible and raising the bar for our productions. When it comes to photography its all about location and i get so excited when i travel to somewhere new because i have no idea what i might find and who knows i may even come home with my new favorite image.

WHO INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?

I find inspiration from creativity in all of its forms. I don't care if it's a music producer, athlete, film maker or a painter, seeing someone do something new and independent gets me stoked.

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR videography?

When it comes to inspiration for my videos, I come up with nearly everything through music. If you really pay attention to my videos there isn't a single clip that doesn't coordinate with what you're hearing. Sometimes I will be driving and listening to Pandora when I hear an awesome song for the first time and I can visually see a video in my head. The song usually leads to the idea of a video so when I go into filming I know what I'm looking for. Other times i will sit in my office for hours and hours on pandora and spotify until I find the perfect song to fit the vision I have for each project.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?

Being lost in the open ocean. And alligators/crocodiles... A shark would suck but if an alligator gets you there's a good chance he's taking you home with him

WHO WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO PHOTOGRAPH?

I would have to say Kelly Slater or John John Florence because both of these guys flow on a wave like it was made for them. I never get tired of seeing them surf and I think they're two of the most entertaining athletes to watch.

NUMBER ONE ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?

When I was about 15 I started following the asp world tour of surfing and fell in love with my now favorite stop on the tour, Cloudbreak on Tavarua. This is essentially the dream island for anyone that loves perfect waves and post card surroundings. Located in Fiji, Tavarua is home to several world-class waves including Cloudbreak and restaurants. Definitely the spot i most anticipate visiting in the near future!

FAVORITE WAVES TO PHOTOGRAPH?:

Glassy 2-3 foot shore pound barrels, sometimes smaller is a blast for me. Believe it or not some of my best images are taken when the waves are 1 foot or smaller. When it is small and glassy the water turns emerald green and it gives me a reason to enjoy the ocean on a small day. Being close to the beach in shallow water allows me to get the shore in the background of my image and move around quicker so i can literally dive into little nuggets dumping on the sand. For shooting on the beach i like a consistent 5-6 foot swell with light winds in the afternoon so its not blazing hot and we can get some of that golden hour lighting.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY?

Buy a RED camera and send all of my friends and family to Tavarua Fiji for a month to make one hell of a video!
