Slyde Handboards Expands to Japan: It's time to Bodysurf East Asia

Surfing may be debuting at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan in 2020, but handboarding has already started taking over the coastline.

Thanks to Dunho Endo from Japan Bodysurfing Association  and  Masakazu Miura Fleming aka Mabo Handplanes the Slyde Gromboards have landed in Japan, and we couldn't be more stoked.

Japan known for it's love of pop culture & bright bold colors have theme named the Slyde Grom the “Summer Beach Dominator."

"We believe Groms are a good entry model for kids and novice bodysurfers, and also follows so-called “beach compliance” rules  we have in Japan during summertime. It was our dream for JBA to develop soft handplanes but you guys came up with a perfect solution. I rode the Gromboard at Sandys with Sean Enoka and it worked in challenging conditions as well, can't wait to share  the Slyde stoke in Japan." said Mabo

Here on the mainland we can't wait as well.  We're amped to be a part of Japan's  rapidly expanding surf & bodysurfing culture, especially in Kamakura and Chiba were the first ever surfing olympics event will be held.
