Ready to Bodysurf & Handboard in Peru?

Slyde Handboards is stoked to sponsor the 2016 Copa Slyde at Playa La Herrardura Peru. 

The epic event is tentatively scheduled for December 18th, with a month long holding period to ensure the waves are PUMPING!

Thanks to our friends Fernando Vásquez Calderon of @pumpingbodysurf, and Ricardo Añorga of @BodysurfingPeru, the stoke is spreading to the Central Coast of Peru, just outside the city of Lima (in the district of Chorrillos)

"There are strong cultural connections & traditions with the sea in Peruvian society. We have a coastline with waves of excellent quality, that pump all year. We are champions of surf and we hope to be in bodysurfing too." said Fernando

The "PUMPING La Herradura 2016- COPA SLYDE" will take place on a classic point break that fires a heavy left on bigger days.  This spot is also known as "playita."

There will be 2 categories of participation:
Bodysurfing (16 spots available)
Handboarding (16 spots available)

***All participants in the Handboarding category will be provided with Slyde Bula model Handboard to use.
