Slyde Handboards 5 Epic Ambassador Responses March 2018

We love that there’s a slew of you out there amped to represent Slyde on land and in the water.  We’re always talent scouting to see who’s shredding what, and appreciate every #slydehandboards you throw up online.

WE LAUNCHED THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM TO COMPLIMENT OUR TEAM RIDER PROGRAM, AND HAVE SEEN AN ON SLOT OF AMPED WATER LOVING PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE GLOBE APPLYING TO BE A PART OF THIS EPIC COMMUNITY.  

We ask all Slyde brand ambassador applicants the question

"I've been a fan of the brand since I discovered what a handplane was a couple of years ago. I started taking pics with my GoPro Session 6 months ago during the Australian summer and am getting continually stoked with my images.
I'm frothing to get a Slyde handboard for the coming summer and start producing some images with more purpose, especially with a company I respect. I'm out in the water every day when the weather is good. My images are getting better and I love having surf photography as a hobby. I'm starting to frame and sell images and it is a passion I love."

"I want to be a Slyde ambassador because I love the sport of handsurfing and want to be it's representative in Eastern Canada. The sport is in its infancy here but we have a ton of great waves and there's growing awareness of bodysurfing as a legitimate activity. I'd like to represent a brand I think is doing cool things and develop its presence in this part of the world.  I am an avid sailor, surfer and bodysurfer. I make my living from the sea and love everything about. I want to translate my passion for the ocean into the development of Slyde's products."

"I have been stoked on Slyde since I first saw these rad handboards in a video on my Facebook feed. That was over two years ago, and I finally bought myself a board over a year ago and have been doing my best to get out when I can. I've been teaching myself to surf for over 10 years, and I've been bodyboarding and bodysurfing for as long as I can remember. The beach and, even more so, the ocean have always been special places to me - and I never feel closer to them then when I'm in the water riding a wave. Being out there on a Slyde handboard is maybe my favorite way to ride waves, and I wanna share that stoke and psyche with as many people as I can. I'll be honest, I don't get out as much as I would like. Being a full-time graduate student and scientist as well as a sponsored competitive rock climber takes up a lot of time. But I'll always represent Slyde to the best of my ability and spread the stoke and love wherever I go!"

"I am completely lost in love with the ocean. I am traveling the whole year around the world to find the best places for surfing, free diving and yoga. usually I am using just my body and nothing else,  but now there is just one exception: my flippers and my Slyde handboard. I like the idea to get the best results with all the nature has given to me BUT with this small extra equipment I have so much more fun in the waves. I am absolutely convinced of Slydehandboards to share my passion and my satisfaction with a big group of other water addicted people make me proud and i am sure to help the brand to get a little more well-known in Europe and elsewhere."
